The Village of Round Lake Beach Police Department Vision Statement

Being a career police officer in the Chicago area, and having arrived at Round Lake Beach Police Department in July, I am already immensely impressed with the high caliber of services that the village affords its residents. I am equally proud to lead a professional and dedicated police department the considers itself part of the Village Team.

Police services in our society are more complicated and diverse than ever. While we are all concerned with crime, homeland security, traffic congestion, and other large issues, together you and I must also think about keeping our community healthy and free from influences that corrupt our vision of the future.

My vision for the Round Lake Beach Police Department is as simple in definition as it is complex in attainment. By the end of the decade, I believe the Round Lake Beach Police Department can be the preeminent public safety agency in western Lake County. We will be known for our contemporary practices and use of appropriate technology. We will produce other leaders who will serve our residents. We will be professional "problem-solvers" for our residents; we will look to employ the vast resources that are available to all of us.

In the months ahead, I will look to you, our residents, business owners and visitors to become partners with us in creating a healthy community with our Mayor and Village Board. Together all of us will be creative and use our experience to transmit the Village better and more beautiful to our children.
