Round Lake Beach Special Olympics

Special Olympics Special Olympics volunteer Round Lake Beach Police Officer Jeff Ehlers was the point person and liaison officer who completely renovated the participation strategies for the Department. Officer Ehlers conducts several fundraisers which included police officers working at McDonalds with proceeds going to Special Olympics. He also arranged to sell pins, hats, and t-shirts for Special Olympics at the local Wal-Mart and Dunkin Donuts. Every year Officer Ehlers attends the actual Special Olympics where he participates in the Law Enforcement Torch Run.
