Testing and Hiring Qualifications
• At the time of the last date for filing applications for police officer, applicants must be between the ages of 21 and less than 35 years
• Applicants must possess a high school diploma or GED equivalence
• Applicants must possess a valid driver's license
• Applicants must be a US citizen
• Applicants have no felony or disqualifying misdemeanor convictions
*The Round Lake Beach Police Department accepts lateral transfers*

Testing Process
• Attendance at a mandatory orientation meeting
• Physical fitness and Aptitude test
• Written examination
• Oral interview
• Polygraph test
• Comprehensive medical and psychological tests
• Background investigations
• Drug Screen
