Warming Center The Village of Round Lake Beach will make the Police Department available as a “Warming Center” for the duration of the advisory. Any resident needing to seek refuge from the cold is encouraged to come to the Round Lake Beach Police Station (1947 Municipal Way). If you are unable to get to the police station, call 847.546.2127 and we will make arrangements for you to be picked up. Please check on the elderly and any other people with special needs. Mayor Richard Hill and Chief Doug Larsson unveiled the newest member of the Village fleet at the Round Lake High School Homecoming Parade on Saturday September 16. The new Specialty Police Vehicle (SPV) is a joint venture between private sector businesses and the Village to help educate the public about transportation and traffic safety. The vehicle was donated by Ray Chevrolet of Fox Lake with added financial support from Dave’s Transmissions of Round Lake Beach who donated and installed all of the emergency lighting. Sticker Dude Designs of Lake Zurich donated the graphic design work for the vehicle and also Jotto Desk who donated the vehicle’s computer mounting system.
